Get angry, Get even, or Get God

2 Open the gates,
that the righteous nation that keeps faith may enter in.
3 You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
5 For he has humbled
the inhabitants of the height,
the lofty city.
Isaiah 26:2-5
In reading this FULL Chapter 26 of Isaiah, the story resonates of God’s closeness to the reader but also of His wrath for the unbelievers.
We always see verse 3 plastered on the plaques or time stamps,
“You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.”
This is true, that the Lord places rest and perfect peace for those in Him. But today’s question for you is this…   “Is it consistent?”
We had a bit of a struggle this last week in our home (our new construction home).  We recently contracted with a builder and the home has been completed and we’ve been moved in a settled for just over a month. Unfortunately, there were some construction flaws that had to be repaired… all of which has taken place this last week.   Many of the items that were repaired were things that during the construction process, I pointed out to the builder. Unfortunately, they chose to continue using their judgement, not using my notations, and the areas failed.
Long story short, I was pissed. I was angry and mad and I have been thinking up ways to vent this frustration out to the builder. Even to neighbors!
I was going to either get angry, get even… or yeah…. get God.
It is a hard spot to be in. No one like to be let down and even more so be corrected on something you feel VERY RIGHT about…   but I learned this week that my 3 options really only bring me to one option as a believer. I needed to get God.
This issue was superficial, it was not life threatening, not character damaging, and not catastrophic…. so why was i so bothered by it?     Cause I was dealing with it on my own accord… alone!!!   Not the way God has for us bro!
You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.
For he has humbled
the inhabitants of the height,
the lofty city.
I had some choices to make this week…. Get angry, get even, or get God
Sad to say it took me until late last evening to come back to the Lord in prayer and repentance and ASK HIM to forgive my tones and intentions… I had to let HIM take on the builder and the issue and the mindset of ME ME ME ME ME ….    yikes…
I had to get GOD into the situation. Without His involvement and Spirit, everything else is spoiled. No matter what you’re situation or circumstance… Get GOD into your game!
