Jesus Is Lord

“The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the Lord; for He laid its foundations on the seas and established it on the rivers. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not set his mind on what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully. He will receive blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory will come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates! Rise up, ancient doors! Then the King of glory will come in. Who is He, this King of glory? The Lord of Hosts, Heis the King of glory.” Psalm 24 Who is this King of glory? He is the Lord, our Savior. He is Jesus the victorious! Jesus, who calms the storms, and makes the demons flee, He is the Lord. Jesus, who makes the lame to walk and the blind to see, He is the Lord. Jesus, who feeds the multitudes with just a few fish and bread, He is the Lord! Today is a day to reflect on the Lord, and His majesty. Honestly, what He does to care for us, and how He walks with us through the trials that life brings our way. We may have to walk through the fire at times, but He will walk with us through it. He is right there comforting us when we are alone and lost. He is the One who gives us the strength to wake and to walk every day. He is the Lord. When I fail Him, He is faithful to forgive, when I once again come into the sanctuary to seek His face and plead my case before Him. His love is so far above my own concept of love that often I cannot understand it, yet He has given us the ability to reveal His love through the Holy Spirit who lives in us. How can we not love One like Him? How can we not follow Him? How can we not choose Him over the flesh that desires to compete for our time? For He is the Lord! So today Lord, I will look at what is around me, and I will seek Your face once again. I will praise You for the blessings You have poured out over Your children. I will look at nature differently today and see that it, too, desires Your presence. I will try hard to be the light that You shine to those around me, so open up the doors to my heart, and Rise up the gates of my own confinement, and help me to surrender to Your will, so that I may praise You with all I am. For You are the Lord of Hosts, You are the King of glory, and You complete us. “Lord, my heart is not proud, nor are my eyes fixed on things around me. In the quiet, I have stilled my soul, like a child at rest, on his mother’s knee, You have stilled my soul, within me.” Psalm 131 Ps. Andy
